How to keep cut flowers fresh for longer?

    don't let any leaves in the water,

    change the water and cut the stems a little bit, very frequently,

    add some baking soda (not too much) OR vinegar and sugar (not both)

    Use fresh, warm water. Cut stems at an angle. Drop an aspirin in the water. Keep cool.

    Change the water everyday...snip the ends just a bit to 're-new' the flowers...and add some sugar or a fizzy clear drink (eg.7-Up) to the water to keep them longer...

    1 aspirin in the water. Use that old school aspirin not this Excedrin or Advil stuff.

    Put them in 7 up. I heard this while watcing the rose parade.

    I add sweet into their water, but I'm not sure if this really works or not..Someone had told this to me....

    Put them in clear jello.
