i chose not to breast feed my previous 2 children and wrapped my breasts after both deliveries to stop the flow. if i were to wrap my breasts before i start to lactate this pregnancy, will it stop the lactating before it starts?

no, the body's natural response to childbirth is lactation. Its a hormone thing. sorry.

No your milk will still come regardless. I have to agree with the previous answerer that wrapping the breasts opens the door to infection. The best way is to let it flow until it eventually phases off. Unlike you, I did breastfeed my daughter for the first few weeks but I had to stop due to health reasons (I had a very bad infection in my CS incisions and the anti-biotics I took were too dangerous to mix with breastfeeding). So by the time that I was recovered my milk flow was too slow to feed and I even tried to continue but it just never increased. During the time that I was on the strong meds and not nursing my daughter, I expressed my milk daily because the doctor said that if you leave it engorged it will only cause a blockage or infection. And then after whenever I tried to feed again and realized that it wasn't producing enough, I just left my breasts alone and didn't do anything (I wore a very secure sports bra) and after a month I was dry.

You cant stop it no matter what you do. And by wraping your breasts and trying to stop the milk coming out your just asking for infections in the breasts such as mastitis or blocked ducts. Let it come out, it's natures way, wear breast pads to soak it up, and it wont last forever.

no it will flow no matter what you do, after the birth you can get a shot to stop the flow thou.

Nope. Your body makes milk whether you use it or not.
