We are mired in the middle of a civil war. Why not let the Iraqis settle this for themselves?

For almost a year it has looked to be a staging ground to acclimate and mass resources. Iraqi Theo-political leaders don't seem to have interest in peace.

I am not a proponent, I have thought the Iraq war was a mistake from the start.
You're link has the wrong headline though. If police forces are not counted as Iraqi casualties in this war, they do not understand urban warfare. Twice as many Iraqi forces died than American.
It is foolish to not call it a civil war, of course it is.

By my count from your link that's 209 Iraqi military / police killed. That is 2 1/2 times the U.S. military deaths. The headline is very misleading, but most wouldn't read it if it actually wasn't something negative.
( and you cannot just dismiss the Iraqi police figures )

Funny how the Iraqis don't seem to think they are in the middle of a civil war. Do you liberal rate victory based on how many casualties we incur?

I agree and just answered another similar question. The VA reports show that there are more than 30,000 dead with over 100,000 wounded and disabled permanently. I did try to post the link, but Yahoo disconnected it.
