LDS: What did you get out of general conference?
You can give your favorite talk or whatever. For me, among other things it was something to help re-affirm my testimony of Christ and his atonement, and of the restoration of the gospel. That's pretty general I know, and it happens all the time, but I'm just so glad that we have the gospel. Anyway, I'd love to hear what you got out of it as well!
Ice princess, I've read several of your answers before to many different people and from what you've said, it seems you're the one who's been brainwashed. What you have said about our church is untrue and would only come from someone who is either so full of hate that they refuse to see what is really there and makes up all sorts of stories about it, or someone who's been listening to that sort of person. I don't know which one you are, but I hope that you do wise up a bit. Disagreeing with us is fine, but spreading false rumors shows that you've got some growing up to do.

I thought it was so amazing. I had to watch it all together four different ways/places.Got to watch the Saturday morning session at home on tv. The Saturday afternoon session I listened to online. The Sunday morning session I got to watch at the stake center with my Bishop's family, and the last session I watched at my neighbors house. (I'm the only member in my house if that helps explain all the different places.) My favorite talk was the one on first generation LDS members. It was inspiring to learn more about the people of Ammon. I never told the story told from their side before. The only point of view I've heard it from is the Stripling Warriors. It was wonderful.

It was very wonderful. Every six months I look forward with great anticipation for the next upcoming conference, and again this one was equally wonderful. President Hinckley is such a great person. How can anyone not love the man. All of the messages were superb. I really enjoyed hearing from Elder Holland, Elder Erying, and Elder Urchdorf.

I really liked the whole first session this morning. Pres. Hinckley's talk was wonderful. I think if people who weren't LDS were to listen to it, it would help them understand us better.
