What does "french bed" mean?

A friend of mine is travelling to Rome, Italy, and she has booked a room in a hotel that's supposed to have a "french bed".

I'm not familiar with hotel terminology, so does anyone know what does this mean?

A French bed is bacisally a low-sitting bed that is usually just a mattress instead of a mattress and box spring.

the english version is as a prank mostly used on newly weds its where you fold the bottom sheet to make it look like there are two sheets .so the bed looks made after the duvet is on

(half sheeted bed)the second sheet would be put under the bed or put in another room.
