What is the real low down that the U.S. Army is not meeting its goals of new volunteers that it had to?

lower the minimum standards to the point that street gang members are now enlisting? It is said so their gangs an actually take over the U.S. Army. The latest enticement or lowered standard is allowing any types of body tatoos, any where on the body.

The Army had to lower some standards because 2/3rds of American High School Seniors couldn't qualify. Look at today's 17-20 year old and ask:

    Is he/she overweight?

Does he/she have a criminal record?

    Could he/she pass the ASVAB?

Does he/she have a HS diploma?

Does he/she have any medical problems?

What about ADD/ADHD or other psych diagnosis?

Does he/she have any outstanding debts?

    Does he/she use drugs?

All of these issues prevent someone from joining. So, the problem is not with the Army. It is with the general public. 2/3rds of HS grads are too dumb, fat, drugged, criminal or unhealthy to join. We should criticize our schools, doctors and parents instead of the military over the need to lower standards.

As far as tattoos go. The Army still does not allow gang, drug, sexist, or otherwise offensive tattoos.

You must be an alien to the military culture. The reason for the drop in military enlistment is that the best and and the brightest make excellent law enforcement and rescue personnel that are needed at home. The people that have an attitude like you describe make the best fighters.

i would say that not every gang member is out joing the us army but yes i would agree that there standards are sinking fast.

my husband went to basic at ft.benning and i was shocked that i was receiving phone calls 3 to 4 times a week, then they went to a baseball game and a concert...of course at government expense.....what does this training provide...the standards are lowering and its a shame.....and not to put down the us army or military but it is not that hard to qualify to enter the us army...my husbands unit had a meth lab bust on base and i cant remember all the drug raids ...

The 'real low down' is that there are no 'street gang' members joining the military.

And the tattoo policy is that only only certain types of tattoos are allowed.

Next time I suggest that you actually ask a question so we do not laugh at your ignorance again.

PS - I am willing to bet that you would not meet the minimum standards to join the Army.

you have accomplished each and every thing to fulfill the recruitments aims of Trolls Inc. yet i will provide help to already know that Blackwater and ICE, the successors of Hitler's SS are doing properly, on an analogous time as Viagrush, Limburger and Nazi-Ann nevertheless tutor blood stream deficites of their brains, that's, interior the female case, a wondrous trend, with reference to the medicine that look to sign to blame.

They try anything to get new recruiters. Since the beginning of conflict the poor and young go fight wars while the rich and powerful sit back and pull strings. These tactics of military always fail. The Poor and oppressed always rise up and win for the good of the people ..

It's not just that they're taking people of less intelligence and less education, and accepting criminals, but they also had to lower the goals themselves.

    A lot.
