Outlook Express not working properly?

Basically, when I first open outlook express it does its usual send/receive and completes fine (as I have nothing which needs sending), however when I go to reply to a mesasge I have received it will not send. It says that the SMTP

has timed out. If I reboot my computer then go back into outlook express it sends fine.

This is only on my grandmas account and Outlook express works fine on my grandads account.

ISP is talktalk

Any ideas??

Update:

Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but to no avail

Most of the Outlook Express error messages are due to problems with the internet connection, not the software on your computer.

Ditch OE & set up a wemail account (Yahoo or the talktalk webmail). they are much less grief & more versatile. I'm sure your grandma will appreciate its simplicity.

To use talktalk webmail just reinsert the set up CD

Try this .......go into tools.....send and recieve........click arrow on right and scroll down to your grannie' s account and highlight then try to send and recieve, i.e. send an e-mail to that account . If that doesn't work go to file scroll to manage identies and try that. Best of luck.
