New Ducks Unlimited Study Examines American Attitudes and Participation in Hunting

A large majority (67 percent) of Americans approve of hunting, even though only seven percent of Americans hunt each year.

These are some of the results of a new Ducks Unlimited study on attitudes and participation in hunting and conservation. Ducks Unlimited, the world's largest wetlands and waterfowl conservation organization, commissioned the study. Responsive Management, a research firm that specializes in public attitudes toward natural resources and the outdoors, conducted the study.

Your source material comes from an agency hired by Ducks Unlimited. I would question the findings of a company that has a pro hunting organization paying the tab. Of course the results will be manipulated to please the client. I'm sure the findings would be reversed if PETA was the client. Just the way these companies work my friends. I have first hand experience.

It's more than 1%, but the percentage is declining. Many experts believe it has leveled off and will begin to rise again. There are few places to hunt these days due to overdevelopment in populated areas where most people live.

6% or 13million people over the age of 16 hunt. If you add in all the kids that hunt it is 11% of the US population.

PETA idiots don't know water is wet, so don't believe them. Hunting is on the rise and for all good reasons.

What is the percentage of the U.S. population that enjoys all of the shooting sports? some of us do not hunt but enjoy plinking and target practice.
