turn off the computer undo the case to get at the processor you need to take of the fan...undo the cpu clip and ease out the cpu... be very careful doing this as the pins or very easily bent and should you bend any you will never get them into position again.

and watch how you put a new cpu in. there is a dot on the cpu you need to line up to install it again, be very careful how you place the cpu don't put any pressure on it at all, if it is lined up right it will fall down into the socket

put some cpu compound on the cpu that place the fan back in place, again be very careful here you can damage the cpu or the motherboard

Before you can remove the CPU you must remove the heatsink and fan. The heatsink usually had a shiny spring clip you must release from the motherboard CPU socket, and then merely lift to remove.

Then you must push sideways on the CPU release handle and lift (as it has a little locking latch). CPU must be removed with NO force, and lift straight up.

Reinsert the same way in the new motherboard, with NO force, it should just drop in.

You need to remove the heatsink from the processor first. Use a small screwdriver to help you disengage the clips that hold it on.

You will have to turn on the computer and let it hot real hot. Then turn it off and un clip the fins and fan and try to turn it slightly as to break the bond it has with the processor.
