English mastiff first season only 4 months old!?

Hi ive had my english mastiff for only 2 1/2 weeks and now shes just come into season, shes only 17 1/2 weeks old! Is this right as i thought it was at least 6months before they come into season? I got her from a proper breeder and she has all papers ect so i know she is the age she is. Any advice (this is the first female ive had). I was going to get her sprayed just before her first season at around 6months (earliset in britan).

Also shes haveing her puppy injections tommorrow is she stil ok to have them?

Thanks i know i proberly sound stupid but i really didnt think i would be dealing with this problem.

Thanks for all your answers!

Kim

Since you are going to get her puppy shot tomorrow talk this over with your vet. All dogs are different. I never heard of a dog coming into heat at four months , but I guess they can , Just like they can come into heat at 10 months. Or like one of my girls she never came into heat. Go ahead and let her have her shot it won't hurt her..While you there talk this over with your vet. This was not a stupid question. I would question it too if my dogs came into heat at that age..

You are absolutely right. A healthy female can absolutely not go into season before 6 months because her reproductive organs are not developed enough to go through the process. You need to call your vet immediately.

I hope everything turns out OK for you and your new puppy!
