Is "point-gaming" acceptable?
If you think it's no big deal, consider that people who are reading questions from this section to LEARN THE GAME are being misled.
And yes, I am going to stay with this, dwell on this, even "have PMS" until more of you "get it".
Agreeed there is not a whole lot we can do. But when the posts are 99% the MESSENGER being attacked and 1% people saying "Yeah, point-gaming is wrong", I have trouble letting it go. That's just the way it is.
For what it's worth I will take his word for it that he did not knowingly cheat, but like Bob said how in the world are we supposed to believe his knowledge is "second to none" based on the answers he has given? Sorry, but THAT still bothers me.....

No it is not, jujubah is a fraud. People should care. While I don't care about points, I do take the time to give a descent answer. I don't like the idea of some little **** giving one word answers and using some cheating system to make his lame answers seem best. And whether you like to admit it or not, you like it when you get a best answer. Who is jujubah to take that fun away this category?
(Go ahead jujubah, give me five thumbs down from your five alter egos)

I agree, I think it's awful. I mean it's nice to get points and you feel good when you get bumped up to the next level and you get more respect from others, but like you said, the point is to answer people's questions and they're relying on our answers to be the truth. Many times you can tell the difference between the good and bad answers regardless of the thumbs ups and downs and an asker can choose a best answer without extreme difficulty. But there's a big problem when it goes to voting and the only guy who comes back to vote for himself is the point gamer with the worst answer of them all... then when people look up answers they see that and think it's true. It's fine to vote for yourself, but not if you have multiple accounts. Once I had voted for myself with my account and I was winning with 1 hour to go... When I came back the next day, another answer had like 5 more votes than me... I wouldn't be too surprised if someone got 1 or even maybe 2 votes in an hour, but 5? That's clear point gaming... and it was really the worst of the answer. There should be some way to override people like that by a majority vote on the board... but then they could use their 15 accounts to out vote us again, so i guess that wouldn't work either.
I haven't been on the hockey board in a while so I didn't know anything about the user here... I'm just speaking in general.

I believe in brevity where possible to get my point across. I also want to get to lvl 7. Once in a while when a good answer is there I'll go for 2 but usually I give a fair if brief answer about the game I have played and followed for over 40 years. I despise posers who have never laced on the skates, never mind dropped their gloves and had a good on ice brawl.
The fraud artist will be exposed. All we have to do is vote on open questions and not vote for them. Enough here to out vote them. Also question poser can actually choose best answer, then the voting is of no matter.

I agree with what Mighty said. I will just "choose best answer" from now on. What pisses me off is that this moron has the audacity to say that he is a hockey genius when I have not seen a decent answer out of him yet. As long as we know now he is a fraud, I don't care how many points he racks up. I too don't consider it a competition but he can expect to hear it from me every time I see his fugazi name.

Good God Clueless. We've GOT IT but there is nothing we can do about it.
Give it a rest.
