Genesis 2:17 - But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

Genesis 3:5 - For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

Genesis 3:22 - And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:

Yes, in a manner of speaking.

According to the Christian Bible, after Creation Lucifer was cast out of Heaven. The reason behind his fall was his desire to become God. His pride was actually the first sin. When he was cast out he took over the earth as his domain. He still has access to God in Heaven (see the book of Job).

It was Lucifer that tempted Eve to eat the fruit that she then offered to Adam.

Because of their choice sin (evil) was permitted to corrupt the earth.

All humans born after that time have an innate "lack of good" in them. If you have ever seen a baby grin and say "no" you are aware that they KNOW they are doing wrong.

BTW, in the end times Lucifer will be cast once and for all out of Heaven into the Lake of Fire (another name for hell).

Yes there was a war in heaven, Lucifer and his followers rebelled against Heavenly Father and they were cast out. They were also denied a physical body, which is one of the greates gifts that we are given, that is why Satan tries to destroy our bodies and degrade them with sexuality and harmful substances.

This took me a while to search the scriptures for the answer but here it is.

The war in heaven that is spoken of is described in the book of Revelation, Chapter 12. It speaks as if the war is still taking place. Satan warring against God is also spoken of in Daniel Chapter 12 verse 1 which seems to be a prophecy of the final battle between God and Satan.

With Christ's resurrection, Satan's ultimate defeat was assured. It may be that his actual fall to earth did not occur until after that time. Prior to that time, he came to earth on his own or sent one of his followers to tempt mankind in all sorts of ways.

The word or name "Satan" means accuser. Up to the resurrection of Christ, Satan stood before God and accused mankind of all sorts of things. Once Jesus was resurrected, he was no longer allowed to accuse us because Jesus had already made us perpect in God's eyes.

It is all very confusing I realize. For me too. I would suggest you get a copy of a study Bible and seek the answers for yourself.

if you're refering to the passage text in revelations.. then the war happens sometime during that tribulation period.

when he is cast out of the atmospheric places which he had as his headquarters for a very long time. its mentioned in the book of daniel.

so actually. the war is the beginning of the end for him.
