How often is Barry Bonds walked?

Can anyone find the statistics on how often barry bonds is walked, and possibly compare this to other players. He is definitly the best batter of all time, I cant wait until he breaks the career home run record. I think some people forget that he is walked sooooo much more then other players, otherwise he would have hit many more home runs.

There is no question barry Bonds is a very talented player, & always has been , even before his body became "enhanced". He is issued a large number of free passes.......but then so was The Babe & Hammerin Hank. And the Babe began his baseball career as a pitcher , so he only played every four days or so as his spot in the pitching rotation came up. He would have hit even more if he never pitched, & played every day from the start!

As for the best batter of all time.....THAT would be Pete Rose! Noone has more base hits than he accumulated (4256 I believe)

  • As of 2006, Barry Bonds has been walked 2,426 times. Not including week one of this year. In 2004, he was walked the most of 232 times. His lowest carrer is 48 when he was a rookie.

It depends on the situation like pitchers would intentionally walk him when he was going for the Single Season Hr Record and when he gets close to the Hank Aaron record pitchers don't want to say that they let him have the HR easily they want to make him work for it.

I would like to see him get around 600 walks this season and limit his chances of taking a record that he did not earn without the help of syringes.

They walked Barry Bonds so usually because there replaced into no solid hitter in the back of him. Barry Bonds replaced into agruably the in simple terms solid offensive participant on his team, so there replaced into no aspect to pitch to him in certain situations. Pujols has a countless challenge, because he has Ryan Ludwick hitting in the back of him. in case you walk Pujols, (which occurred 2 nights in the past), then you really could pitch to Ludwick. 2 nights in the past they walked Pujols to load the bases, and Ludwick had a 2-run unmarried. that's why they walk Bonds more advantageous than Pujols.
