They don't always attack feet. Sometimes they are playing with you, i.e. you are something they need to catch. Try to play with your cat more using a little toy mouse or feather on a string. Discover what type of toy your cat enjoys playing with alone. One of my cats loves little fake mice. Another cat likes little soft balls. Another cat likes to play with a plastic ball with a jingle bell inside.

    Why Do Cats Attack Feet

  • 1 decade ago

I guess your cat just wants to play. My cat never attacks my feet.

I have two cats and they love our feet. While making the bed my little one loves to attack them. And my other cat, Speck, when we are relaxed just sitting around he will come up and rub his face on our feet and lick them....then when he gets too excited he nibbles on our toes. it is so hilarious. I have no idea why they do that. Speck also loves our shoes. We come in and the first thing he does he lay on our shoes and he sticks his paws in them and rubs his face on them. SO FUNNY!!! I don't really have stinky feet but he loves something about the smell.

She is playing with you. Get her some cat toys (balls, cat nip toys) and drag a string around so she can chase it to expend some energy. Or get her a cat playmate.

Some cats do it to stop you because they want something. I have one that does it when she's hungry. I think she's saying "don't take another step until you feed me!"

He in all probability perspectives you as his playmate yet perceives your father and uncle as no longer being so tolerant of his moods so steers sparkling of them. Cats are very temperamental creatures and confident, they do have a tendency to be lovey-dovey one minute then aggressive the subsequent whilst even have features including they do unlike being touched particularly places (for my cat, it replace into her abdomen and her tail). in the adventure that your cat bites you annoying and could no longer enable pass, do no longer war as he will basically combat back tougher. enable your hand pass limp and he will enable pass, questioning he's killed his 'prey'. Afterwards, shout 'no' sharply then walk off without giving him interest so he learns (yet do no longer anticipate miracles as cats do no longer pay attention to boot as canines). in case you recognize he does not like his back or abdomen touched then save sparkling of those factors. And if he's in a playful temper, particularly of letting him chew you, in step with danger play with him with slightly bit string or a toy so which you're taking part in in a fashion that doesn't harm you. Male cats have a tendency to be extra aggressive so, if he hasn't already, in step with danger you may desire to think of approximately neutering him so those hormones cool down.

I think it's their twisted sense of humor. Mine always does it from under the bed while I'm making it. He likes to hear me scream.
