What is meant by this verse at 1 Peter 1:3 ? Does Jesus worship the same God we do ?

--There is nothing wrong in glorifying Jesus as the SON of God! BUT with unbridled worship absolutely not!

--BUT there is indeed something VERY wrong to try & insist on expressing to him what belongs to God!

--DO WE glorify the stars and express awe when we see them? DOES that mean we are worshipping them , obviously not!

--IN ORDER to do that we would name them and start heaping unbridled expression of idolatry to them!

--BUT THERE IS indeed a fine line between honoring, glorifying, etc.(GOD can & does distinguish that from simply honoring of his son) SIMPLY because it is a heartfelt situation that one has to be careful of.

--FOR INSTANCE the angels warned certain ones who were bowing down before them to not do the following:

(Revelation 22:8-9) “8 Well, I John was the one hearing and seeing these things. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel that had been showing me these things. 9 But he tells me: “Be careful! Do not do that! All I am is a fellow slave of you and of your brothers who are prophets and of those who are observing the words of this scroll. Worship God. . .”

--APPARENTLY John might have been carried away with the vision he saw!

--ALSO Job in his defense against his so-called "comforters" said:

(Job 31:26-28) “26 If I used to see the light when it would flash forth, Or the precious moon walking along, 27 And my heart began to be enticed in secrecy And my hand proceeded to kiss my mouth, 28 That too would be an error for [attention by] the justices, For I should have denied the [true] God above. . .”

--SO IN Jobs eyes TOO much attention to the moon could be considered worship & he was right to be careful!

--SO ONE would really have to be very careful to what type of GLORY they will attribute to Christ!

--TODAY religious glory is freely heaped upon entertainers, sports idols etc.--IT IS INDEED

The First Council of Nicea in 325 was called by Emperor Constantine, who also participated. Constantine had adopted Christianity as the state religion because he sought something which would unify the people - however, a heresy had developed which threatened to dissolve that unity and Constantine would not allow it. He intended to make sure that, one way or another, the disagreement would end.

The problem was caused by Arius of Alexandria who was teaching that Jesus Christ, instead of being fully divine as was believed by orthodox Christians, was wholly a created being. Arianism was condemned at this Council and Airus was exiled by Constantine. Also as a result, the Nicene Creed was adopted - this expressly taught that Jesus fully human and fully divine.

Christians sometimes seem to forget that JESUS WAS JEWISH. Not only was he a Jew but he was a very good and concerned Jew who wished to reform the hypocrites that were dominating Jewish life in his day.

Yes, Jesus worshipped the same God as I do. He did that by praying and fasting and giving. Those were acts of faith. That's shipping worth, or worship.

I think that you are having trouble discussing Jesus the man with Jesus the God. It's a common mistake. You cannot deny the divinity of Jesus nor the humanity of Jesus when you understand properly. Sometimes Jesus would talk in a man's perspective, and other times He would speak as God's perpective. That's why we read what we do through John 8 to John 10.

It simply means, God the Eternal Father, by his mercy, sent he son Jesus Christ to atone for our sins, so we can repent and be resurrected and have hope to return to heaven.

you can understand more of the relationship by this verse, when Jesus show himself to Mary after he was resurrected, this is what he said:

17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.

I am so sorry the public school system has failed you in not teaching you how to read... Unless of course you do worship some false god or another.... then the answer would be yes.

Jesus is the only-begotten son of God the fahter, Jesus (God the son) was never created, but eternally exists in perfect union w/ his father and the holy spirit. God (the holy trinity) is our father.

I don't know, but isn't Jesus God's son but also God- they're like one and the same?

1 Peter 1:1-2 is a reference to the trinity......

The Father planned it....

The Son carried it out...

The Holy Spirit applies it to our hearts

Try substituting TIM (the imaginary man) for the word God. Then it would make more sense.
