Pride, is a flaw in design?

Was there a design flaw and the last 6,000yrs have been the patch?

Update:

PS: Inequity (a flaw) was found in Lucifer.

Nope. The unit ran itself aground voluntarily after being warned. No design flaw. It's not impersonal. Good point well taken though. There's nothing good about pride.

    what exactly is your point.

its a standard part of a humans emotional make up.

It determines the food we eat, the clothes we wear, the career we choose, how we feel about our wives, husbands and children.

It makes people happy about who they are, and what they do.

A care worker, a volunteer, a policeman, an office worker, a mum, a dad,........ i dont understand your idea, there's a problem because people have pride in who they are and what they do.

I have no doubt, your'e a very nice person as others are on this site, even though we dont always agree, but could you clarify your question more.

(ps.) I doubt the inequity of either god or lucifer,.... simply because myths have a tendency towards repeated habitual absenteeism.....

Until a person embraces humility there is always room for pride. A person can't embrace humility until they realize just how vulnerable they are.

Pride was found in Satan; one of his greatest character flaw, and to recognize that and why it was revealed is an understanding that gives a person a good foothold to wisdom.

p.s. It isn't a design flaw, it is a revealing...

I've been looking at what kind of physiological effect the various emotions have on the body, particularly the blood brain barrier.

Autogenic training reminds me of pride. Autogenic means self-originated. It has various negative side effects. They call them autogenic discharges. Stage 7 basically looks like psychosis to me.

Cults capitalise on pride. In fact, they teach pride as a way of getting along. They form so that the guilty can share the blame around. They employ various mind control mechanisms such as hypnosis (which might be socially reinforced behaviour that seems a bit inexplicable). Basically the whole of society is run by cults, unless you deliberately say no.

The word "design" is like designate. It comes from designare, which means "to mark out". This is like pagan and its root word pagus, "district limited by markers". Is a human body a district? If you treat it as one, you will likely need the expert advice of those who have been pagan longer than you have. Either that, or it means acknowledging the One who put the markers there to determine which bit's your district. If that's not God, then you're putting yourself at the mercy of whoever's telling you who you are and what you're allowed to do.

Proverbs 8:13 links pride with arrogance, which means presuming. I think this has to do with foretelling the future, which is something no human being can do. They can only bluff. To arrogate means to "assume or appropriate to oneself without right." So therefore, by definition, it's not a problem with the design. It's a problem with what the design chooses to try to add to itself, probably without asking. Therefore, it's got to do with illiteracy, or perhaps, a refusal to be literate. I'm still looking into the link between the phonology slave, the visuospatial slave, the working memory and literacy, or at least as far as current research shows. I don't think phonology and literacy are the same. I think people are misusing their brains by assuming that a rhythm of words necessarily carries meaning.

There is a flaw in the argument for intelligent design. We can't come to God through logic because our intelligence is fallen through original sin. If we have a concept of God but do not know him personally then we might be inclined to boast that our salvation is based on our intelligence. Faith isn't based on intelligence, but on knowing God personally, not only with our natural mind but more importantly, with our spiritual mind.

  • Pride is indeed a sin, but just like every other sin, the only patch is determination and resistance and humbleness...

Pride is the sin of Satan which was transmitted to humans when they disobeyed God in the Garden.
