IMUS vs ISSIAH discrimination or being sacrificed on the altar of Political Correctness?
Issaish Washington an actor on the hit TV show; Grey's Anatomy was casitgated by GLAAD,the Gay Community, the media & ABC-TV for using the word "******" in referring to co-star TR Knight. Issiah initially denied using the offensive term and then used it again on a TV awards show. He finally admitted his "offense" met with and apologized to TR Knight, the Gay & Lesbian Community, etc. and agreeded to go to REHAB only when his termnation from the series loomed on the horizon. And to a residential treatment facility...for using an ofensive term. After a short time in REHAB Issiah was "cured" from what ever he infected with and returned to work. IMUS on the other hand did use ofensive terms, expressed his regret, never denied using them and met with Rev. Sharpton to discuss the issue and apologize. Imus went to Rutgers and apologized to the lady players and accepted the imposed the 2 week suspension. Then he was fired by MSNBC,NBC & CBS. Equal & fair or not? Your thoughts? THX

Isaiah Washington's use of the f word (just as derogatory as the unprintable n word) was a slur. Washington went to so-called 'rehab' and still has his job.
Ann Coulter also used the f word and has never apologized for it while retaining her book contract & speaking engagements.
A band named Nappy Roots has been around since 1995. Trick Daddy has a song "Ho But You Can't Help It" & Kurupt has a song "Ho's A Housewife" (which uses the n word, and I am not referring to nappy).
If it would have been the other n word, I would agree that Imus should have been fired since that word is a racial slur, but the word nappy isn't a slur and calling the women's basketball players 'ho's' was offensive, which merited an apology. The apology and his suspension should have been the end of it.
It appears that if you use the most derogatory slur against a gay person you get a week off at a Pacific Ocean resort.
If you use words that, while offensive, are not considered slurs against an African American you lose your career.

It's wrong that Al Sharpton and other civil rights gangsters threaten boycotts of those who advertise on a show for making more benign statements than any gangsta rapper. This is p.c. to an extreme and while I have no use for Imus, this whole ordeal is an exercise in reverse racism, hysteria, and hypocrisy. By the way, I think the statements were wrong in both cases you describe and also, I think that a person's sexuality should not be a topic that people ridicule unless that person is a child molestor or rapist. If adults aren't hurting others then hey, its their right.
