computer will not turn on?
Two lights are on on the motherboard but the computer wont boot/start/whatever.
It's been an ongoing problem for the last month. Only, it would turn on eventually. Sometimes hitting the power button every few minutes and eventually it would start. Sometimes it would start up to 3 minutes after I hit the power switch. But I always got it to start. Now, today, 12 hours and it wont start.
I switched the wires (power-restart) and got the same effect.
I'm going to buy a new motherboard. Thinking, the lights on the motherboard come on so the power supply must be working. Could I be wrong?

Sounds like you're on the right track...If your computer won't Post, then it's a mobo problem & you're best just to replace it...

it be better if you can add more detail. ^_^
Can you get in to your operatiing system when you power up the computer?
Also when you get to power it up, use your finger and touch the southbridge to see how hot it is. If is really hot, that means your motherboard is fried due to wrong jumper connection or other problem. So it would need a motherboard replacement.
