Best was to watch computer video on the TV?
I just bought a new TV and a new computer (Dell 9000). TV has a PC in. They are in the same room but 20 feet apart. I want to watch video files on the TV (from the computer). If I run a cable through the attic I need like, 100 feet. Cable/video seems to be very expensive at that length (and impossible to find). If I understand, wireless is not an option. What to do? OR, where can I find computer video cable at that length?

I just upgraded my cable - I like the design shows they have on... not the 'how to purchase/sell/flip/appraise' shows. I like the home improvement/gardening/ect. stuff. Anyway, I watch about 1 hour of TV MAXIMUM in a day. I'd like to start timer recording something. Suggestions?
5 AnswersReality Television1 decade agoHow much does a new roof cost?
It's a 1900 sq. ft. single story home on Sonoma County CA, Basic square shape, not very steep.
I'm young(ish) and plan to rip the old wood shingles off myself to save on costs.
I just need a basic ball park number.
Also, it noes not leak, but the wood shingles are curling upward and the house is starting to look line a pine cone. A friend told me it's "normal" and "does not need to be replaced... the shingles will flatten out in the winter with moisture." I'm afraid it's going to catch fire. (and it looks ugly) Who's right?

4 AnswersDecorating & Remodeling1 decade agointerest only loan vs. traditional mortgage?
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE ANSWERING:
For long term OR for short term... A loan salesman told me an interest only loan is better than a traditional one.
He said that if I take the difference in payments (interest only being cheaper; monthly) and add that to my payment, I'll have paid off more in principal in 5 years.
i.e. $2K a month interest only vs $3K a month traditional. Take that $1K a month in difference and USE IT ... apply it to paying down the principal on the interest only... and in 5 years I will have paid off more principal on the home than with a traditional mortgage. And I could refinance/sell/whatever and be in a better financial position.
So, after 5 years with interest only, paying an aditional $1K a month for principal, I will have paid off $60,000 of principal.
Even if I refinance, the loan amount will be $60K less, therefore, a lower monthly payment.

I had a guy try to ID himself with a British Drivers License. there was no picture on it. It was not laminated. But it looked official; had a seal, multi-colored, ect.
A link to an image of a British DL would be helpful. Better would be a link to images of foreign DL's.
1 AnswerLaw Enforcement & Police1 decade agocomputer will not turn on?
Two lights are on on the motherboard but the computer wont boot/start/whatever.
It's been an ongoing problem for the last month. Only, it would turn on eventually. Sometimes hitting the power button every few minutes and eventually it would start. Sometimes it would start up to 3 minutes after I hit the power switch. But I always got it to start. Now, today, 12 hours and it wont start.
I switched the wires (power-restart) and got the same effect.
I'm going to buy a new motherboard. Thinking, the lights on the motherboard come on so the power supply must be working. Could I be wrong?
