Is it worth paying and additional $400 to get 4gb of ram vs. 2gb for a gamer?
I want to know if there would be a huge difference in overall performance worthy of the additional money. Should I spend the extra money on a faster processor instead?
It would be for use on a Vista OS.

Order of importance for gaming in my opinion are...
1. Video card
2. Memory
3. CPU
If you want to boost your gaming experience, get a better video card. If you already have a good card, like an nVidia 8800, save the money. 2 GB is fine, that's what I run. This the card I am using, right at 400.00 bucks to.

it really is not any longer that straightforward with a computing device ... initially you'll in elementary words have 2 DIMMS so that you ought to purchase 2 x 2GB sticks and be left questioning what to do at the same time with your present 2 x 1GB sticks ... if you're no longer a complicated center gamer i does no longer problem ... 2GB is more effective than sufficient for most purposes less than Vista residing house proper type

absolutely not ... and nothing short of vista ultimate will even recognize 4 gigs of ram without modifying ur bootini file .. a faster processor will help slightly .. but really .. if u want to improve gaming performance and u already have 2 gigs of ram ... the ONLY thing u need to think about is video processor speed ie how good ur video card is .. or go to a sli settup ..

If the OS is Vista, get the 4GB.
Otherwise, take the faster processor and 2GB.
