According to the newest researches on cars from 0 - 9 years old Mazda is better than toyota.

I heard this on the news the other day,

Mazda is in 1. place and I Think toyota is in 3.

Toyota's still are great cars and very very reliable :)

Toyota Hi lux pick up There was a program on british tv called Top Gear they smashed a hilux with a crane and it still worked, then they left it on a beach and let the tide come in and out and it still worked, if that wasnt enough they set fire to the cab, gutted it and it still ran and finally the dropped it 200 feet which broke the chassis but it still started

If thats not reliable i will eat my hat

I'm a Ford girl all the way, but it truly depends on the year of manufacture and the model.

For example, Chevrolet made an outstanding truck until the mid 90's, but you couldn't give me a new one.

And Kia had a horrible track record and resale value until 3 or 4 years ago, but now they make an outstanding automobile.

Any answer to such a general question is going to be strictly opinion and personal preference.

Toyota/Lexus (Manufatured in Japan as well as Lexington Kentucky, Woodstock Ontario, and Tijuana Mexico).

Great cars proven to be superior in terms of performance, reliability and consistency. I want to be loyal to the domestic market but how can I when a brand new 2005 Yukon's transmission falters only 0.5 months out of the dealership. After that only Toyota and have never had a problem once.

Toyota's are very reliable, and are probably the most American car available in America. When they do need parts, I find I have to go back to the dealer and purchase OEM, though, which usually costs more than aftermarket.

Just like everyone else, toyota or honda. But you must do regular maintanence to keep them that way. Change the oil, rotate tires, get alignments, brake jobs and so on. Oil changes being number one. Despite a car companys rep you still have the chance of getting a lemon. Also would suggest Hundai, our last family car was a elantra you cant beat the warranty. 100,000mile drive train and i think 50,000mile bumper to bumper, definitly enough to get it paid off before having to pay for anything major, as long as you do you schedueled maintanence. Otherwise they wont cover your car, its neglect.

Source(s): I bleed motor oil hey mike m. I like that answer. we once beat a '67 beetle so bad it would only drive backwards, but you just couldnt stop it. We broke the trans, rolled it, jumped it this seperated the rusted body from the pan, ran it into a engine block hidden in some brush, and it just kept going. when I hit the engine block it bent the front suspension so it wouldnt drive forward, but it could drag the front suspension backwards. That was the most fun I ever had with a parts car. It was already rolled before I bought it for its rare one year only parts.
