I seem to have this floatie thing in my left eye and it's been there for about a year now. Any ideas?

It really effects my reading and it won't go away.

Update:

Ordinarily, there is no treatment. In extreme cases, there's traditional surgery, but it's risky, and laser surgery, which is not well tested.

If it's only a minor problem, learn to live with it. Not to get you down or anything, but you'll probably end up with more than one.

I started with one, now I have 4.

It sounds like a regular floater to me, but if it concerns you a lot, you should visit your optometrist to have it checked out.

i have them. i asked my doctor what it was and she said they usually happen to people with light colored eyes and its due to the way that light enters your eye.
