What is the best type of pasta for a "Sunday Sauce"?

By "Sunday Sauce", I mean a slow-cooked tomato sauce with assorted meats.

Update:

I've used mafalde in a pasta dish with white northern beans. It was excellent.

    Sounds like lasagna time

Just a while back I found a pasta that was about 3-4 inches square flat nothing fancy.

I make several Lasg. in small aluminum pans (5/per Pk)

Cut the SQ in half just fits..

Remember boil the pasta just untill flexable.

It is giong to cook another 30-60min as you bake.

I'de like to cook with you. sounds like fun.
