Is there a way to find how much a corporation paid in taxes relative to its "income?" More?

there's someone claiming that major corporations pay a "disproportionate" amount of tax - claiming that they pay too much. I know she's wrong, but I can't find a place that shows where a corporate tax return is. I thought they were public record? For instance, GE, Haliburton or something like that.

You can find the financial statements of most publicly traded companies on their web site. The income statement will provide you with information concerning their tax burden. Look on the investor relations page. It is not likely that you will find actual tax returns.
