Bank of America = Bank of Satan?

Who else hates Bank of America?

Why?

What's your nightmare of a story to tell about their banking practices, lack of customer service, and just what is it that I can't ever deal with two employees who are "on the same page"? I call and get one story. I go in and get another story. I write a letter to corporate and get an all together different story. Their employees act like they don't even work for the same organization.

I swear, when I die, the first thing people will read on my tombstone is, "BEWARE OF B of A!"

Update:

New 2: Believe me, we went to a new bank, but that sure was a process considering we were so wrapped up in B of A with direct deposits, auto payments, CC's and on line banking/bill pay.

I suppose the reason why I am fired up about it again is cause I just read in the NY Times that B of A just bought almost 25% of the Sally Mae student loan company and we have student loans through Sally. I just want to be as far away from B of A as possible and they just keep popping up in my life indirectly, even. I am refinancing those loans or paying those loans off ASAP so those mafia scum don't get any more of my money than necessary.

Yes! I hate B of A with a passion.

Update 2:

pooteril: No. I re-evaluated the use of the word hate when pondering my opinion of B of A and reiterate that the word, 'hate' is a most appropriate word.

HATE: –verb (used with object)

1. to dislike intensely or passionately; feel extreme aversion for or extreme hostility toward; detest: to hate the enemy; to hate bigotry.

2. to be unwilling; dislike: I hate to do it.

–verb (used without object)

3. to feel intense dislike, or extreme aversion or hostility.

–noun

4. intense dislike; extreme aversion or hostility.

5. the object of extreme aversion or hostility.

There are other negative reports on Bank of America, and I have seen quite a few. Hate is not a word one should use in this case. If you are dissatisfied with this Bank, there is a choice, there are many other Banks that offer better rates and service, do a search, and B of A will feel the consequence, when you take your money out and deposit it in another Bank. Since you will not be the only one, a lot of the money they hold will be going to other Banks that treat their costumer's better. That action will speak much louder than any hate words one can use. Please, no need to die, just calmly change Banks you will feel better soon.

$330 in fees in one week. I only make $1000 a month! That's a third of my monthy income.

I spoke to my local branch and called Customer Solutions and was told that "no one has authority to override these fees". A bank as big as BofA and no one has authority. I couldn't speak with her supervisor or anyone else. I'm going to open a new account at a bank like California Bank and Trust and send a nasty letter and a chopped up B of A debit card to the President of the company.

Well, my only gripe with them is that my husband has had loans with them for years, and excellent credit. He asked them to raise the limit on his line of credit, and they wouldn't do it, when he had mortgages and things with them, never late on a payment! Is that how they thank good customers? The bank that I really will never deal with is Washington Mutual. Beware of them!

Had my ATM card taken TWICE, by mistake. It took them over a month to get me a new one.

Then, they lost a depoist I made. Made me bounce some checks. They did not reverse the charges.

Needless to say, I don't bank there anymore.

I happen to like B of A, but of couse I have never had an issue with them. I would suggest that you move to another bank if you hate them that much.

oh no crap! When they first started this RELATIONSHIP BANKING crap, they were trying to get my husband and I to STOP using their local teller services!!!! They wanted us to use Drive-thru/ ATM ONLY! And we would have to pay a SERVICE fee to speak with an actual human!!!

AND when I tried to cash my husbands check(I only went in on occasions when he couldn't do the Drive thru himself...)They said I couldn't- Even with all the ID, and a deposit slip-YES I was making a deposit!, They wouldn't let me recieve the majority of the check back in cash!

Source(s): UN-freakinbeleivable! We BOTH went in the next week and saw a human- TO CLOSE THE ACCT!!!
