How would you feel if America had it's first female or African-American President?

How would you feel about the United States potentially having its very first female (Hillary Clinton) or African-American (Barack Obama) president?

Update:

Not that these are the only two choices, but they are two that are running as potential candidates, if it was just a generic woman or african-american who you thought would be an awesome president.

Personally I don't care the person's gender or race, but a lot of Americans are afraid of stepping out of the box, or rather they are afraid of change.

I rather have Obama than Hillary. Only reason shes a viable candidate is because her last name is Clinton. Obama is more experieced and competent than Hillary and he'll help the rebuild image of Black males. The same image the media has torn down over the years. I hope he chooses John Edwards as VP.

I would have no problem with a woman or a black or even a black woman as president if they were the best person suited for the job. I don't feel that Clinton or Obama is the right person. It has nothing to do with gender or color, it's where they stand on issues.

If the first female wasn't Hillary, Great! If the first African American wasn't Obama, Great!

I look at qualifications, not gender or race.

I wouldn't mind a female or African-American or both. But that's not the reason I'd vote for them. Hillary and Barack are two people I would NEVER vote for.

I don't care if we have a chick president or not, as long as it's not Hillary or Condi. It's the person that has the job what matters, not the color of their skin or their sex. Race has never been an issue with me, I was raised by a great black man.

I would feel great about it if it were JC Watts and Condi Rice. But I would never vote for someone with no core values , such as Hillary. Obama just does not have the experience.

no longer so confident the rustic is waiting for it. additionally no longer so confident different countries are waiting to settle for a woman chief, on condition that the top issues the U.S. faces are in the mid-east, the place women human beings do no longer carry positions of authority. Are they keen to hearken to a women human beings, fairly person who did incredibly no longer something while her husband became into uncovered as an adulterer? admire is paramount to negotiations w/ the leaders of those countries. i ask your self whether the contenders for the presidency have their priorities at modern-day. good of the rustic would desire to be top, no longer political manipulations. have not we had sufficient of that? we are actually in an uncalled for conflict, without bring about sight. And no enterprise solutions from the two candidate. the present political situation demands extra wisdom and extra admire from different countries than the two candidate very own. we are in DIRE want of an honest baby-kisser. Step up, everywhere you're!!!

I would love it, but I think I am in the major minority! It isn't the fact that he is black and she is a woman, I think they are good candidates. I think they should go Pres/Vice Pres though. Condi is ok except the fact that she supports the Iraq war. Not that it is all bad, but we shouldn't have ever gone in and she never admits making a mistake going into there.

A female is no problem, but Hillary is, and for a black president I think Colin Powell could easily have been our first and I would have voted for him and I'm white.

I don't have a problem with a woman or african american in theory, but if those are the choices, I'd rather wait for someone more qualified.
