Where Would You Like to see the USGP?

Laguna Seca has always struck me as a great circuit; they'd need to do quite a bit of work to make it up to F1 safety standards though, and they probably couldn't use the "corkscrew" with cars that low to the ground either, although Can-Am and Indy have used it.

Daytona would be as pointless as Indy.

Road America might be nice, certainly better than going to a temporary track, but it looks pretty much like a lot of European circuits.

Road Atlanta would be great, but all the work to bring it up to standard might ruin it, much as many of the classic European circuits have been ruined in the name of progress.

So on balance I'd love it to go to Road Atlanta, but only if the track could keep it's character.

Sonoma - Most certantly anti-indy. That I think could provide a good race. I dont know how long it could take to convert Pit Road from F1 to a NASCAR set up, along with the logistics, but if possible, set up a race with NASCAR for the weekend.

Watkins Glen - Where the USGP started. Also a nice track for F1 to compete on.

Long Beach - With the problems with Champ Car, if anything happens to it, and F1 wants to go elsewhere for the USGP, Long Beach should make a major push

id love to see it return to long beach but after seeing the condition of the track last weekend it needs allot of work before that's possible,

so i think laguna seca is the best bet, as far as tracks go, imagine f1 cars doing 4 Gs through the cork screw, but the big dog in f1 is money and i have a feeling toyota and honda would pitch a fit about racing at Mazda raceway

so with that i would have to agree las vegas is the best location left but road america is the best track left, however road atlanta is probably best logistically being located next to a major airline hub and all the tracks in question would have to up date their garages and press boxes to fia standards

if only it was as easy as saying "i wanna race here"

Long Beach as it should be the premier street circuit of American open wheel racing. From 1978-1983 this was the location of USGP West. Has had a GP ever since Champ Car, CART and the crowds are great.

Nothing against other places, but it would be great if F1 had another street race instead of another permanent road course.

Road America would be great, but the city doesn't have the means to host it so I would have to say send them back to Long Beach. If a street course is not to their liking, then Laguna Seca seems the most logical choice and I bet they could easy make the adjustments to accommodate them. I wish we had the means here in Chicago too, because I would love to see them rocket down Lake Shore Drive!

Three possibles places: Laguna Seca, Watkins Glen and Las Vegas.

I'd like to see F1 return to Long Beach. I love street circuits and there are not enough on the F1 calender. Or Road America. That is a really nice track.

Since we're just day dreaming anyway, imagine a circuit through the streets of Manhattan, including Broadway, Times Square, parts of Central Park, and FDR Drive.

Think of the deafening sounds of all those F1 engines resonating throughout those urban canyons.

I think Sonoma would be a good track for it Indy messed up last year so it was a farse to everyone. If not there Long Beach has a good street course or even at Daytona.
