Doesn't really matter if you wear glasses or not. What matter is that you must pass the Infantry course, Marine Recon Indoc or Scout/Sniper Indoc, and the Marine Corps Sniper course. You just have to prove to the USMC that you are physically fit, mentally fit, and can shoot.

By the looks of your name, NOPE. Males are only allowed in the Infantry.

It's not so much the "glasses", it's how badly you need them. For example, my uncorrected vision is poor enough to derail my eligibility for a pilots license---because if something "happened" to those glasses (or contacts) it would prevent my ability to perform a vital task. A sniper's vision is probably even more critical than a pilot's. But cheer up. You can always volunteer to be the target!

Forget the glasses and being a sniper. You well come back, if you are not killed, a wounded soldier which is no fun. PTSD is the enemy of a combat soldier, and a sniper almost always has PTSD if they are in combat. PTSD equals Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. It hurts buddy.

Actually its even better that you wear glasses because sniper scopes are like prescription lenses. So I mean it's still manipulating your vision.

You can get laser or contacts, I think using the glasses while using a scope would prove hindersome. I also agree with the comment about staying away from the service at the moment.

I would not be a sniper. Killing in a battle is not pleasant, but actually looking almost eye ball to eye ball with someone is hell.

These days, since they are desperate for recruits, the answer is probably yes.

I am a decorated, disabled veteran who advises all young people to stay away from our military right now. Democrats and Republicans alike are abusing the selfless service of our troops. American military members are dying to meet political ends not to protect our nation. Don't let millionaire power-mongers like Bush and Clinton waste your life so they and their friends can line their pockets with more cash.

If you want to serve your country, join your local police force.

Good occupation ..... I hope you see better and can aim and pull the trigger faster than the guy watching you.
