Al Sharpton & Jesse Jackson apologies?

I'm no Imus follower by any means..but have you seen the Reverends Al Sharpton and/or Jesse Jackson publicly apologizing for the detrimental things they said about the Duke guys? Have you ever heard them apologize for ANYTHING?????? EVER?????? They incite racial hatred.

I agree they should apologize, but not likely. Please do not hold your breath to that.

disagree that they incite racial hatred.

rather, they espouse a view that has always made MANY others outside the Black community uncomfortable.

let me quickly add they do NOT speak for every Black person who walks the planet..okay?

    I have seen them apologize.

Jesse most notably at the Democratic national convention for the "hymie" remark.

I KNOW that his sins will never be forgiven by those who don't like him

At the same time no one mentions Rush Limbaugh's drug abuse, or the fact that the first lady ran over someone who died. Their sins are not tossed about. They are managed, understood.

Jesse on the other hand causes folks to lose focus

Too bad, so sad, there is much work to be done here in America.

Neither Jesse nor Al should be the focus in this debate.

the issue is the dignity of women.

If the world is going to change, it must start within all of us. It is encouraging to see them apologize, but there is more to it than that.

I don't mind Imus being fired, but why did it take the threat of losing sponsors to get it done? What are Sharpton / Jackson apologizing for? The cause of racial harmony, or to save face?

Change cannot be faked, it must be genuine if there is going to be any progress.

If anything should have incited racial hatred it would have been slavery. May God Bless U.

I agree. They will never admit their wrongs and no one is going to try to make them.

Omg! Ew, Al Sharpton is on tv right now. On Oprah.

What did he say about the Duke boys that wasn't true. A bunch of privileged white boys who love to see black women get naked. What did you want him to say that there were saints!
