Problem on my gums?
Below my bottom teeth near the bottom of my gums there is a little white spot. Its just a small little circle but it seems sort of raw and it hurts when touched. Particularly when eating. Does anyone know what this is, how i got it, how to treat it, or will it just go away on its own

It sounds like it might be an apthous ulcer, it is caused by a virus. They hurt a lot in the beginning, then less pain as they
start to heal up. Put hydrogen peroxide on a Q-tip and
dab it on there to disinfect it. Also there are many different
kinds of over the counter anesthetics that will make it numb
so it doesn't hurt so much. The ones that work best for me
are Anbesol cream, it makes like a protective barrier over
the ulcer while numbing it, or try Kank-A, it is a thick liquid
anesthetic that you dab on and it dries in a few seconds
to cover the ulcer and numb it up for a while.

I just saw this on the wall at the dentist last week. It is not the root. I can't tell you the name they called it as I had no need to pay that much attention to it as it was nothing I had. It did say they could be fixed and that it was a common problem. I think it said it was best to get at it soon. Call your dentist.
