Oxyacetylene gages?

I've just received a new set of tanks for cutting steel etc. Does anyone know what to set the gages at turn on.

And do they stay there or need to be shut down when not in use.?

Update:

I'm looking for pounds for the two gages. thanks

Update 2:

thanks for the kandar fella's, but I'm not looking for pressures to cut numerous metals, cutting torches cut with different torches and tank pressure remains the same. I looking for the sustainable pressure for the tanks and the pressure to the hoses and the torches are adjusted by themselves with their own dials. I'm a copper welder, but not a cut off man and would like to cut without the tanks blowing the gages off the top of the set.

Update 3:

thanks for your help guys, but I'm still looking for the gage settings in lbs...and I will turn them all off at main when not in use.

I agree with Ron B. But if you insist on trying, typical cutting pressures are 6 psi acetylene, 40 psi oxygen for general purposes. Don't burn yourself.

If you dont know what to set the regulators at to cut different metals, I doubt that you should even be messing with a cutting outfit. Go to the library and find a book on metal working and do some reading.

Need to shut them down when done,,,and you open just a little bit on the acetylene side, and a little more in the Oxygen side,,,,than use the tool to light it up and than when light up, regulate how hot you want it, depending on what you'll be cutting.

After use always relieve the pressure to zero and turn the main valves off.
