    Pythagorean Theorem :

In a right triangle side A squared + side B squared = side C squared

    (90*90) +(90* 90 )=16200'

    sq rt 16200=127.279

    .279*12= 3.348 "

    final answer 127' 3 3/8 inches

It gets better. The 90 ' is measured from the back of home plate to the outfield side of the bases

So if a 6'2" left handed first baseman rested his left toe on the bag and stretched a bit he could easily decrease the distance of the throw from third by 9'. everthing else is determined by where the third baseman throws from

Do you want to know how far it is from third to first or what?? to figure that you need to use the patagorian theorom which is used for right triangles. its A Squared + B Squared = C Squared. the answer is 127 ft. In actuality they have to throw farther than that so I'd put it a 140 ft maybe..
