Vista blows. It has way too many bugs in it. Stick with XP. Expecially with games, i know there's a couple games that aren't compatible with vista.

Vista is a much greater suitable OS than the quickly to be extinct XP, in case you will purchase a sparkling equipment then i incredibly might pick one which will stay modern, The XP OS would be going the way of the dinosaurs in the very close to destiny, so some distance as softwares that are vista properly suited you will discover that the utility makers would be getting onboard and finally then looking utility for the older XP would be confusing to discover, Steve has an exelent answer too, people who condemn the Vista OS have not been plenty into the vista scene and are die confusing XP followers, I enjoyed the previous XP OS yet after having vista and incredibly studying approximately it I plenty want the Vista, yet ultimatly this may well be your determination to make and that i want you the excellent,, SG

XP is a good and reliable system. Vista is better, but requires a much better PC. I like Vista better. In order to unleash all off the Vista's bells and whistles you need a powerfull PC. You can buy one or custom make one. See details in this link:

not all xp compatible software will work well on Vista - you will need to go to the website of each game software you have to see if it is Vista compatible - most software that is over 1 year old will work on Vista but may not work as well as it did on XP - this is partially Microsoft's fault because they kept software developers in the dark for so long about Vista - or "Longhorn" as they called it pre-release.

I suggest you get vista like next year or something coz right now it has so many bugs plus i've heard nothing good about it from other people. Or you could get both XP & vista on the same machine. but that kinda sounds pointless to me...
