Last time I watched the movie they mentioned a date or year or something and I was able to figure out the year of the movie by a few statements made by the characters. It's been a few months since I've seen the movie, so I can't remember what I came up with, but I could watch it again to see if I can figure it out. My guess would be between 1870-1890 (I'm leaning towards the 1870s end).
