Roller Coaster Sickness HELP~~~?
Ok, i have several questions relating to motion sickness.
First of all, i am 14, and i only get motion sickness on roller coaster rides that flip or spin, and i haven't been on a roller coaster in two years so i was wondering if actually outgrows their sickness.
Also, i have a question about motion sickness medication; Dramamine, generic brands, ect. Do the medication that make your more drowsy than the "non drowsy" kind. So basically which work more effectively, the kind that makes you more drowsy, or the "non drowsy" kind.
Thanks for your help.

I don't think you meant to put this under the "Pregnancy" catagory...LOL.
I didn't used to get car sick and now as an adult I do. So it is possible to outgrow it...or outgrow not getting it.
My sister always got car sick and my mother bought her a bracelet with a ball that hits a pressure point on the wrist. It always seemed to work for her and then you don't have to worry about medications.

I agree with Beth S. Just work your way up. Start with the slower ones and gradually go on the bigger, faster rollercoasters. You could also take a motion sickness pill or put on one of the patches. If you still feel like you have to throw-up will on the ride, SCREAM! It helps (Usually it's not that you have to puke, it's just butterflies). Also, don't worry about them breaking down. They check those rides non-stop everyday. If there was something wrong with it, they would close them down. Good Luck and Have Fun! =)

You are pretty smart for a teenager to put this in the pregnancy column! :) You must know that pregnant women get nauseated alot! LOL! Unfortunately, we pregnant ladies are'nt supposed to take any medication for it. We're supposed to eat bland foods, drink ginger ale, eat alot of small meals, wear bands on our wrists for accupressure relief, etc. etc. You COULD do the bands-they are called 'Sea-Bands' because they were originally invented for people who got sea sick, so they do help with motion sickness. You can buy them in most drug stores. I hope you get alot of other helpful advice in this category! :) Take care, and enjoy those roller coasters for me!
