Why are the Cleveland Brownies looking at Brady Quinn when they already have a very competent QB in C. Frye?

Don't they have more pressing issues at hand, like protecting whomever is taking snaps in C-Town?

I say they take Adrian Peterson if he is there.

Well first of all Frye is far worse than competent. he had Edwards & Winslow and still looked like crap. He could pick his play up with a running back and some offensive line help. However Frye is no franchise QB, he is a average at best type of guy. I do agree that drafting Quinn is unneccasarry, they should first build some talent at the before metioned RB or OL. But come round 2 or first roud next year they will have to address the QB position.

Yes, as Frye has only had one year under his belt as a starter for a horrible team. He was rushed into the situation and didn't have time to prepare. I think this season he will be much better, They should defenitly take Adrian Peterson with there first round pick. They have no running game and he would be a weapon. They have vernon davis coming back wich is a plus and i see them making a play-off run.

You make a very good point. I wondered that myself. Frye had a decent season, but he played as good as his offensive line allowed him. This line was decimated by injuries, retirements, and crappy play. If they stay at 3, take ADRIAN PETERSON. And don't waste any time doing it either. If Frye gets some better protection (take some O-Linemen in the draft Cleveland, take one with your 2nd round pick!) and his skill players remain healthy (mainly Braylon Edwards), he should be good.

News to all you Browns fans Charlie Frye is not that good. The fact is the Browns have to many issues and QB is one of them. They have so many holes that dont even have to worry about the playoffs for atleast 2 more drafts.

You said it youself in your own question, at his best he's only "Competent", even with a good O-line, which The Browns don't even have...Honestly if the Lions don't take Joe Thomas the Browns should. Just over 8-1/2 days to the Draft, where will you be?

While i don't believe Quinn will be any good and I think they should draft someone else, I think Frye is a terrible starter and only a back-up on a good team.

I'd be happy with joe thomas or adrian peterson, but it'd just be a waste of the #3 pick to draft another qb

Because he isn't. I've seen him live & franchise Qbs live & he is not ever going to be there. Never seen Quinn so I have no comment on him. But that is why they are looking. That is your answer.

    Source(s): Seen him live.
