What is the best way to cover a newly formed scar from the sun?
I had surgery back in August, and I have scars that I was told not to allow sun to get too -- since they will burn so easily. I am going on a cruise in a few weeks and I'd like to cover them up as much as possible. So does anyone know of anything that I can do to cover them up... BESIDES just applying sunscreen or wearing a tshirt? One scar is on my arm and the other is on my shoulder. Also, any way to get rid of the scars easily? Thanks :)

Try vitamin-E lotion or just the straight stuff. I have a knee replacement scar that's half as bad as other peoples'. It works great and speeds up healing.

Bare Minerals has a product called Mineral Veil, that will absorb the oils in your face, there are also oil blotting tissues that work well, at night after washing your face try a paste of water and baking soda to exfoliate your skin and also buy oil free lotions.

Use Cica-Care adhesive gel sheets if they are raised / quite large.
Use Mederma / Contratubex creams if you can't be bothered with gel sheets.
Bandages can cover them for a time... but then it will lack oxygen = slower healing.

Sunblock comes in many different applications. Go to the drugstore or the web and check them out!
