A body pillow is good to have about your fifth month of pregnancy. By then they doctors suggest that you start sleeping on your left side because if you sleep on your back, the wait of the baby will push down on your lungs making it hard for you to breathe and the baby won't get enough oxygen. The body pillow is to provide comfort for when you sleep on your side. It reduces the pressure on your knees, hips, and back. It works very well. There are also some websites that I found to be very helpful with my pregnancy ( I am eight months along). They tell you what is happening to your body and how the baby is developing week by week.

I used a body pillow while pregnant....... but I also use one while not being pregnant too. I love them, it may not mean anything to you right now but when you get more pregnant you can only sleep on your side. Having a body pillow really helps with back pain and making sleeping comfortable in the later weeks of pregnancy.
Good luck!

My advise is just relax honey - ur body isnt going to do what u want if ur stressing out over it daily. I know how i feel 100% on ur friends cause it toke me and my husband 2 2/1 years to get pregnant, and every time i found out someone was pregnant i cried my eyes out and would be like "but they dont even want a baby, this isnt fair". I went though many tests and scans, needles after needles and my husband was also tested. I gave up thinking it was going to happen and fell pregnant but i miscarried before i even knew i was pregnant and the following month i fell pregnant again but only because i gave up hope and we stopped trying cause i didnt think it was ever going to happen, we just started getting on with life - i am pregnant now with my first baby - 25 weeks pregnant. Dont forget u have a 21 day cycle: Day 1 - Ur period starts Day 14 - Its ur Ovuation day (U have a 2 day window on both sides of day 14 - day 12 & 13 get packed up with as much sparm as poss ready for day 14 then day 15 & 16 hump like rabbits as the egg is on its way down ur tubes) Day 21 - Next period starts I have no idea about hep c so i couldnt tell u how that would stop u getting pregnant but i will keep my fingers crossed for u and ur husband honey that u get the baby u both want. Love Manda xXx

I could not have survived without my body pillow once I got too big to lay on my tummy. My back and hips were in so much pain, and using the pillow helped tremendously. I would put it in between my knees to relieve the pressure on my hips and also underneath my belly to support all that weight. You are only 15 weeks so just wait!! You may find it useful!
My husband and I named my pillow "Marvin", and he joked that there were four of us in the bed, me and him, the baby, and Marvin - and there was no room left for him! After my baby was born, one of the first things my husband did was toss Marvin right into the garage. He was so happy to be rid of it!! :)

You use it when you need to start sleeping on your side. You prop your leg and belly up and it makes for a more comfortable nights sleep. If you don't at least put a pillow between your legs or prop your leg, it can throw your back out of alignment, and it also alleviates hip pain.

It's useful to me, because I'm used to sleeping on my back and tummy, both of which are off-limits during your second and third trimester. I put the body pillow halfway underneath me, then lie whichever way in comfy, including on b ack and tyummy, but since I'm not flat on my back or tummy, no harm is being done to baby or my circulation. It's really comfy. But if you're not sure you'll need or use one, why buy one?

A body pillow helps the "upper" leg be elevated, which eases tension off the back of those who have problems with their back.
I used a regular pillow and got along just fine.

When your uterus is so large you can no longer get comfortable, you can take a body pillow, placing it beside you, lie on your side, bending your knee and leaning forward toward the pillow. The pillow can then keep your stomach from tilting and your knee on the pillow will keep you from rolling on over to your stomach.

I am 32 weeks pregnant with twins and really there is no sense in buying a body pillow. the pain in your back is going to be there. there is no way you can sleep or wake up without the back pain. I tryed to use one but i always woke up my back every morning!

plain and simple...body pillow = comfort = more sleep (especially during the 3rd trimester) during my pregnancies my side of the bed was nothing but pillows lol, I think I slept with 6 of them to get comfortable!
