Do you ever write the President, or your Senator?...?

and tell them what you think? It's pretty easy with e-mail, but do you think it matters to them?

Yes quite often. I've even had responses back from the white house with answers to my questions. I write my congresswoman quite a bit and she also responds and we are on track. Yes it does matter to them. They want your vote.

I have sent some e-mails to Harry Reid the senator from Nevada, I am from Nevada but I didn't vote for that idiot. Its a waste of time. First they don't even read them, staffers do and they respond with these generic answers that are so long and filled with doubletalk its gets your blood boiling. Thats another thing wrong with all politicians.

Oh yes, but since they are all of a different party from me it is like hitting my head against a stone wall. They write back saying "I believe this way and I will vote this way" and might as well add "to H... with what you want. Listening to constituents is long gone I believe. They believe they are in office to tell us what to do, not the other way around. There is no more representative gov't.

I never had to! But I vote! I remember when I was growing up my mother use to call the governor of Texas "Ann Ross" about some problems I had in school and and she got the problem resolved. She called often to check out my statice!

And a couple of years ago my mothers freinds brother was in the Alabama pen and his father was sick and wanting to see his son so they didn't know what to do! Leave it to my mom! She called the governor here in Alabama! Behold his son got out for a pass before he died! So it does help to at least try if nothing else! Remember to vote!!!

Yes. In February I wrote Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.

Does it matter? I'ld like to think so except Hill '08 just keeps begging for money and both sent thank you automated responses.

Yes.....and reps as well. Some respond, some don't. Usually it's a standard letter everyone else gets.......sometimes not even on the topic I wrote about. I don't know if it matters or not but I do it because it's my right.

I wrote the governor of Georgia once to ask him to approve a sale of liquor on Sundays. Not sure if it worked or not, but it made me feel better to get it off my chest.
