How to clean acid etched glass?
I have a new home and have tall black stained wood doors with 3 glass panels in them. The glass is acid etched which has that frosted look. I was told its better with fingerprints than frosted glass. Any ideas to get the installers fingerprints off? I tried a wet sponge and Windex but dont seem to help. Any suggestions??? I was told to use rubbing alcohol but not sure?

Hopefully, they didn't leave silicone fingerprints. those would be tough to remove.
etched glass is either chemically etched (with HF or bifluorides) or sandblasted. Either way, you cannot harm the etch unless physically scraped (razor blade or the like). any solvent like rubbing alcohol or paint thinner will not harm the etch. Have at it. Also, use something other than a paper towel. the surface will be rough enough to leave fine paper burrs on the glass. use a tightly woven rag.

Lacquer thinner on a paper towel. You need to dissolve the sealant that was on their fingers when they set the glass.
