Good method for dealing with depression?

So basically, I have been really depressed and anxious lately and I don't really know why. Things like my weight, which to be honest is not a problem, are bothering me and I find myself breaking into tears randomly. Does anyone have any suggestions?

try supercharging your diet with vitimans, i.e the old fruit, veggie and fish! Be sure you have enough B12 in your body.

Exercise in a way you enjoy. Yoga? But burn off any adreneline and other 'anxiety' chemicals in your body.

Stop watching TV, read instead. Do a jigsaw puzzle. Get some sunshine. Ask yourself, what is the one thing that I could get excited about doing right now. And then make that happen.

    Focus on the possible.

I have bouts of depression. Everyone has to find their own method. I force myself out of bed and socialize. even if I just take my daughter to the park or a movie. Some days the hardest part is getting up and going somewhere. You may need to discuss things with a therapist. I did this for awhile, she was able to help me pin down effective alternatives to medication. not everyone will be able do it this way. I also have had periods where I needed the extra boost and did take prescribed medication.

Try getting a little bit of exercise in your day, even if it's just a quick walk.

You can get anti-depressants from your family physician too. Wellbutrin is really good and also helps with weight loss.

    Don't ignore it! Good luck!

Take some long, long, long walks. This will clear your mind and give you some insight into what might really be bothering you. For a quick fix, drink Coca-Cola... I dont know why but it always cheers me up!
