Flexibility in religion?

Does a thorough knowledge of religion make one more flexible or rigid with respect to that religion? Or doesn't it matter?

(I've noticed that graduate students in Theology are often a lot more flexible than people who were 'only' raised as religious people.)

I've noticed the same. Maybe those Theology students have eaten an apple from the tree of wisdom? ;-)

Perhaps, but then again priest and monks etc take theology courses and they are not flexible...

Also the more educated you are the more likely you are to be unhappy.

theology is knowing about God's ways not the same as knowing him. theology often leads people away from God's truth.
