You don't really need one - you can program everything in notepad.

However, the more complicated your pages get, the more you're going to need a program. The program helps you read through your code quickly, using a color coded scheme for different tags. It also helps keep your files organized, will automatically update certain things where it can.

There are plenty of programs out there that do this, I personally use Dreamweaver from Macromedia. Microsoft Frontpage is an OK entry level program, but serious web developers sort of turn their nose up to it. If you can get your hands on it, it's good for getting you started. Once you get into it though, you'll see you want to move up.

    Good luck!

It depends on what kind of programming you intend on doing.

If it's some kind of scripting that you want to do, then all you'll probably need is a text editor. If you want to write in a compiled language you'll need an editor and a compiler.

Basically do some research online to decide what kind of programming you are intending on learning, then ask again... however by the time you've done enough research to know what you want to do, you'll probably not need to ask!

  • No you do not need any programme to start programming. You could pick up any of the "DUMMIES" books if you think you are too naive or an expert book depending on your choice..

No you dont need anything special to start programming .

You only need interest and logics .

So you should start with C/C++ books.

" Let us C " is a good book to start

first you need to descide what language you want to use

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Programming_language

most common are C, C++, Java, Visual Basic

or for web - php, perl, asp

most of these require some form of software to compile the code
