i cut out anything fatty greasy or with milk and moved to more organic foods. try soy milk or rice milk, you can get calcium this way. there is also imitation cheese made by veggie shreds that you can have instead of milk produced cheese. also try "O Soy" yogurt, Giant Eagle has a lot of great stuff there, and also try some natural foods stores in your area.

I also tried to cut back on red meat and replace it with chicken and fish. i find that eating more wheat breads whenever i eat something greasy helps to ease my stomache.

here's some sites that might help.

feel free to email me from yahoo answers if you want to ask me any questions. ive had ibs since i was 7.

You need two medicines that your doctor can prescribe. Bentel for the spazaming and lomotal for the bowels. These are wonderful. They saved me

I've had IBS for 30 years hon, ask your doctor for Bentyl, it can be taken over the long term and works wonders with IBS.
