Home is where the heart is.....right? I spent my boyhood in the countryside of Vermont. I spent most of my adult life in San Francisco. Now I've retired to Thailand. I live half of each year in SF and half in Thailand, so both are "home" now. But I do miss Vermont and try to visit there at least once each year. I love Vermont because of its lovely, rural green mountains and because of the nostalgia of my youth. I love San Francisco because of its multicultural laid back liberal bias. I love Thailand because it is a tropical paradise.

I'm from Oregon, but when my husband gets out of the Navy in two years, we'll settle in Tennessee. For the time being, I'm very far from home! We're stationed in beautiful Italy. I love it!
