I'd like to break the mountain dew habit...any advice? substitutions?

I just can't get going in the mornings without a dew. I also need to lose weight but can't exercise if I can't wake up!

Update:

I don't like coffee or cola drinks.

    are you crazy why would you want stop drinking mountain dew . well i have to slow down on the soda too . i suggest diet moutain dew then when you are used to that you switch to flavored water like propel its awesome. i will still drink some dew . but my parents slow me down. get in the habit of drinking delicouis juice like apple , or grape, cranberry, and mango . slow down to l.ike one dew in while say once every two days. start slow man. but i wont want to stop drinking dew altogether. its your choice.

    no longer lots for the lemon-lime sodas (someway they only style too candy) so Mountain Dew. Dr. Pepper. Root Beer. ok, i'm going to confess i like strawberry soda--frequently by using fact it is purple (yet too candy). Cherry Coke. no longer unavoidably in any form of decision order.

    I was a heavy mountain dew drinker:) Just one day i stopped buying it and switch to water .I lost a few pounds by not drinking pop. hope this helps

    I switched to sparkling unflavored water. And took a Vivarin. Then I weaned myself off the caffeine and was fine. I still got the fizz, but none of the sugar.

    I HATE water..its too bland so I make my own iced tea and drink that all it is- is Tea, water, honey and lemon and its yummy.
