Quickest: apply small amounts of ether - available from behind the counter at most pharmacies (they may suspect you as making Meth though ... so you need to know the pharmacists fairly well so they trust you)

Safest: Abreva from local Wal-Mart (most economical price found there - about $13 a tube ... very small tube at that)

Best prevention: daily Lysine supplement of which you can get from Wal-Mart in the vitamin section and pick up a tube of sunblock chapstick and apply it anytime you go out in the sun ... sunshine is the number one catalyst to activate fever blisters. The best medicine is prevention ... I used to get fever blisters once or twice a month ... now I use Lysine and lip block and haven't had one in nearly two years now.

Any topical treatment for cold sores from the pharmacy will help it go away faster. Also, you should take L-lysine tablets (available at health food stores) as soon as you feel one coming on. Since I've discovered this, I have not had any more fever blisters and this was about 3 years ago.

Make sure what it is. Fever blisters are also known as cold sores which is a symptom of Herpes. If its herpes then Abreva is good as well as topical cream that contains Lysine. You should also take a Multivitamin and extra vitamin C. If you want to reduce redness, you can use visine on the spot and redness will go away as a quick fix. Also diaper cream such as desitin will help with healing, make sure it contains Zinc.

I got clinically diagnosed with the herpes simplex virus (type 2) about six years ago, when I was still attending college and had a stupid one-night stand. I just made a massive mistake that one time and suddenly I felt like I was going to have to live with the consequences for the rest of my life. The worst part was feeling I could never date guys again. In the end, who wants to go out with someone that has sores around her you-know-what? But since a friend shared this video everything changed https://tr.im/Treatmentsherpes2015pYaE

Not only was I able to clear away all traces of the hsv from my body in less than 21 days, but I was also able to begin dating once more. I even met the man of my dreams. This method provided me the opportunity to be happy and experience real love. Now I want to enable you too by sharing this with the whole World.

Cold sores are caused by the herpes virus. Many of us already have the cold sore virus dormant in our bodies, and never have a flare up of cold sores. We contracted it as children, as it is a very common virus, and children pick it up easily as they often share food and drinks, and may be less concerned about hand washing and hygiene. Cold sores can be transmitted even when the person does not have a cold sore, though it is less likely to happen then.
