Help on locations in orlando.....?

I'm online now trying to book a holiday villa/apartment in florida for January. I need the below things

1) Somewhere close to Disneyland and universal studios

2) Somewhere close to good nightlife and SHOPPING!!!!

I have no clue of any area's in Florida so could someone give me an idea of area's around both of the above that are tourist friendly (neither of us drive so we will be depending on public transport to get us about)

Thanks for your help x

I'd suggest staying on International Drive. It's VERY close to Universal Studios, and Wet n Wild is right on I-Drive. There are tons of bars, restaurants, and fun things to do on I-drive. Plus, many of the hotels offer shuttles to Disney and Universal free of charge if you're staying there! There's also an I-Drive Trolley thing, that drives up and down I-Drive all day. There's several of them, so you don't have to wait long. There are at least 2 large outlet shopping centers on the Drive as well!!

    Hope it helps!

International Drive would be a great place .. Seaworld is near .. Wet n Wild .. Disney is a few miles down the road .. Universal is very close .. Night life I would say International drive, universal's city walk and Downtown disney. There are night clubs, movies and many more things to see and do .. I would suggest maybe the rits carlton on john young parkway and central florida parkway, or the renaissance hotel, theres quite a few in the area actually - it's not considered disney or anything so it shouldn't cost an arm and leg, and most of the hotels in the area provide rides to theme parks at no cost to you .. not to mention there's a mall not too far from there - and many outlets on I-drive. There's also a mall called Festival Bay right on I-Drive .. hope I helped a little, HAVE FUN!!
