If you were Darth Vader?

Would you have fought the rebels with a more hearts and minds approach. Because the Death Star was the ultimate shock and awe weapon and it just just forced the rebels hand.

Goodie. I love questions in P&G that echo the Star Wars theme. Hmmm. Since it was the Emperor pulling the strings, I don't think that Darth's input would go that far. However, I think he tried to play it when they were trying to get Luke to cross over. I think he could have done a lot more had he known sooner that Leia was also his child, but we both know that she would never turn. Honestly, I really don't think that the Sith would know how to play it by that side, I mean they just seem to operate by one agenda.

Dude, We're the Rebels! Remember, it was the terrorists who attacked us first. They used shock and awe on 9/11 and forced OUR hand. They're the ones who want to impose their form of government on us and turn us into an Islamic State like Iran. Just like the Empire, the terrorists try to frighten people into doing things their way and kill innocent people (the USA has NEVER set a car bomb off at a school, shrine, market place, police station, etc.) And as far as Darth Vader fighting with a heart and mind approach, well then he would have had to be open to new ideas.

I think your in the wrong section of YA. This is a section for grownups, but I'll play with you until your bedtime. Lets see. I think I would have given the rebels poison apples. It worked in Sleeping Beauty --- well, for a while anyway. Nightie-night, Sleep tight--don't let the bedbugs bite!!

I would definately have tried to make the rebels feel unpatriotic and traitors to the Empire, while still proclaiming "compassionate dictatorship." It works for most Americans, I think it would have worked for rebel scum as well.
