Tilted Uterus?? Dark Areola?? Anyone heard of this?

I've been told before by my gyne during exams, that my uterus is tilted to the back. I didn't really think much about it then. My husband and I are ttc for the past year and a half and still nothing. Has anyone heard of this being a problem in ttc? Also, I heard that some women experience darkening of the areola area of the breast when they are pregnant. I am 9 days late on my period, had a negative hpt 2 days ago, but I am experiencing the darkening of my areola. Has anyone heard of this?

I noticed the darkening effect before I even realized my period was late. You could try an HPT again when you are 2 weeks late, or have a blood test to predict HCG levels high enough to sustain pregnancy. I also have a tilted uterus. I have to have an experienced OB when I have my checkups, or they end up hurting my cervix because it is positioned posterior. They say this causes difficulty conceiving but we have never had problems with that.

I too have a tilted uterus and my GP told me this is nothing to worry about and that she had 4 children without complication!

I have heard that your areolas darken in pregnancy too. I would agree with the suggestion that you try another test in the morning and get a blood test if your period is still not arrived in a couple of days.

    Good luck!

I also have a tilted uterus, and it took a while for us to get pregnant (9 months with the first and 1 year with the second). So that can have an effect. I have an inactive thyroid too - which can also make it difficult to concieve, so you might want to ask your dr to check that as well. Good luck!

I too have a tilted uterus. It took me 11 months to concieve. i attempted some suggestion (that I initially concept sounded stupid - even with the undeniable fact that it could desire to or would possibly not have been the biggest, that's nicely worth a shot perfect?) the advice i became into given is that through fact your uterus could be tilted forward (fairly of the customary backwards tilt) you're able to desire to opposite the suggestion of laying on your returned with a pillow decrease than you bum for 20 minutes or longer, i began out laying on my abdomen with the pillow decrease than me and have been given pregnant perfect away, like I pronounced it could desire to have been a accident even with the undeniable fact that that's nicely worth a shot. (and as quickly as I did this I have been given pregnant, and were attempting for 10 months previous to this) stable success!! i wish you get your BFP quickly! *edit* knkim02 - having a tilted uterus does not make it greater good for the physician to pay attention the heart beat, your uterus is going to "commonly used" because it grows in the time of being pregnant, it additionally does not reason miscarriage. brwneyed - please do not permit those solutions scare you, human beings do have miscarriages perpetually even with the undeniable fact that that's not because of this condition.

I have a tipped uterus. After you have sex, prop your hips up on a pillow for at least 30 minutes afterward to help the sperm get to where they need to go.

I never had darker areolas when pg.

If you've been trying that long w/o success, you both need to get in for a fertility workup.

I also have a tipped uterus, my doc told me that tipped utes. are no big deal as far as pregnancy goes. Your uterus grows so much during pregnancy that it all works out. I've had 2 kids and never any problems with the tipped uterus.
